For my last project in my Production Design course. We had to create a chair buck. A chair buck is an adjustable prototype which is used for comfort and ergonomic testing. They are easily adjustable and just a basic silhouette of a final chair design.

I teamed up with two of my closest peers; Chance Tatum and Charlie Douglas. Chance was a senior furniture design and Charlie who is now a senior product designer.

Our team did testing with the MCAD student body and staff. We did chair testing during lunches and had our peers sit in various types of dining chairs for while they ate, did homework or just hung out in the cafeteria.

Testing

We listened to our peers feedback and they influenced our initial decisions like back rest height.

Nylon brackets are on bottom of the seat attaching to leg posts
