The final assignment from Textile and Surface was titled “Unconventional Covering”
The goals to were to upholster or skin a piece of furniture or product in an unusual material. My professor had several rolls of an orange plastic which is close to polypropylene.
Earlier in the semester, the building material company Kerfkore agreed to support my semester with complimentary material. I received two panels of the Timberflex product. As the semester came to an end, I was eager to use it to make a piece of furniture.
